Mark Flickinger: I've been working here at the firm ever since 1993. My late father founded the firm. So I always wanted to help injured people. Brett Boulton: People select the law firm of Flickinger Sutterfield & Boulton to handle their accident injury cases because they know that they're going to have a lawyer who is carefully working their case. The state that we live in, Utah, is a wonderful state. We have people here who are very independent, they're strong-willed, and they don't want to cause trouble for anyone else. Mark Flickinger: Most folks here are very concerned not only for their own rights, but also for the rights of the person who's involved in the car crash with them. Brett Boulton: All we're trying to do is to help the person get back to where they were. And if that means they have medical bills and time off at work, then the insurance company is legally required to take care of those losses. Mark Flickinger: What people need to understand first and foremost is that the insurance company they're dealing with on the other side is not a charitable organization. They are not there to look out for the rights of the people who have been injured. They are for profit, cutthroat businesses whose sole purpose and objective is to make as much money as possible by paying as little as possible. Brett Boulton: The other thing people should understand is that 95% of our cases resolve with absolutely no litigation. Litigation means going to court. We're able to negotiate and resolve these claims at a much higher rate than somebody without a lawyer because ultimately the insurance company knows if they don't treat our clients fairly, we have the ability to take them to court and get a successful resolution there. Mark Flickinger: One of the things that's so great about what we get to do is we get to help folks without demanding a large upfront fee. Brett Boulton: Because a lot of times people don't have access to the legal system unless they're very wealthy individuals or they're companies. But because we do the cases on a contingency basis, I can help anyone. Mark Flickinger: A client only pays if we're able to get some recovery. So I get a great deal of satisfaction out of helping people who otherwise would have absolutely nowhere to turn and help them put their lives back together, put them back where they should have been had the wreck not happened. If you have been injured, what's most important is that you know your rights. Come in, see us as soon as possible, have a free consultation. Then you can make a decision about whether it's the right thing for you to do to hire a lawyer. From that position of strength, from knowledge, then you can pitch the right decision for you.
